Chandigarh Chapter of IRIA
It is a proud moment for the Chandigarh Chapter of IRIA as we launch the website of the Chapter. This year the Chandigarh Chapter of IRIA enters into the ninth year of its formation. The total membership strength of Chandigarh Chapter of IRIA as of date now stands at more than 250. The Chapter was formally registered on 6th May, 2014 under the Societies Registration Act.
The major radiological facilities are available at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Sector 12, Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, Government Multi-Speciality Hospital (GMSH), Sector 16, in addition to multiple corporate hospitals and private centres in the tricity. The city’s radiological set-up is one of the best in the country and competes with the state-of-the-art facilities at the international level. In addition to diagnostic imaging, world class interventional radiology facilities are available at PGIMER, Chandigarh.
The Chandigarh Chapter has always been at the forefront at the national and international level in academics. Our members have bagged several orations and prestigious awards at the national level. Our members are actively involved as faculty in most of the teaching programmes in the annual conferences and in the IRIA/ICRI academic programmes. Our members have held prominent posts in central IRIA and ICRI. The Chapter already has the privilege of holding an Annual Conference of IRIA in January, 2019.
